UFO Sunday

I have been taking a break from almost anything crafty. I finished Nikolai's quilt. That was a huge accomplishment for me. I started the Christmas pants, but I ran out of elastic because of the Halloween costumes. Guess I will have to go get more or remove the elastic from my Halloween pants to cut and use for Nikolai's Christmas pants.

I am very excited about the costumes though. I think they turned out pretty good. Of course, the shirts and Brandon's pants were used for our Viking costumes from last year, and the fabric for Nikolai and my pants were from the leftover fabric from last year. Too bad this will probably be Nikolai's last time wearing that shirt. Two years was a pretty good run. I think we got lucky that it fit this year! :)

I am looking forward to finishing Nikolai's pants. They will be cute when finished and they are so big, they should fit him next year too! I am glad that my old pants came in handy for something. Too bad I made them so big. Nikolai could have used them for pajamas this year. Oh well, my pair had huge holes in them and were not going to be worn anytime soon. Why not make something for little man?

If it weren't still so warm I would be working on the huge afghan that, honesty, will I ever finish? The thing will be a forever project. I don't think I have had the patience for it either. I don't even have the patience to sit and watch a TV show recently. Not like watching TV is a good thing or anything...

At least I have continued to work on Nikolai's baby book. I have a total of 3 spreads finished! His newborn pictures that my cousin, over at BG Photography took of him. If you are in the Tucson area and are looking for a fmily photographer, check her out. She takes some beautiful pictures! I love her work! (let her know I sent you)! I also have my prego shots and the ultrasound shots done! Yay! Maybe I can actually start working on it and have more done? Too bad it takes so long to glue!

Think this is too over crowded? I kind of do too, but I really don't want to have the photos on two separate spreads. Oh well... I am satisfied with it... Maybe I can try to have more done before he turns 2? I doubt that will happen, seriously...

I don't feel I have enough time to do much. I managed to talk Brandon into having the birthday party here, at the house. We were hoping that we would be in our home by then, but I doubt that is going to happen. Darn short sales taking forever. What can we do? Not much...

I hear little man waking up from his nap... Hope you all had a great weekend! I am linking up over at Free Motion Quilting.

  1. Great costumes! I didn't have the time or energy to make my kidos. Love your little man's pants!

    1. Thank you! I think having the costumes half done made it easier! :) I hope he doesn't mind the pants! :)

  2. haha! I never did a scrap book for either of my boys (blush). In my defense though, they're 23 months apart, so I kept pretty busy there for a while. The costumes are great!
