GYCT Designs Tinley Tee: Not Just For Girls!: Berry Bunch

I am a huge fan of the GYCT Designs' Tinley Tee!(affiliate link) I have used the pattern in a number of things for the kids! The ones I have blogged about are:

As you can see I have used this pattern for more than just my own baby girl! And these aren't even all that I have made. I've done a dress even.  It is that awesome. And today I am going to share with you one that I had sewn up for my son. Even though it is primarily featured for girls you can use it for boys! (because of the slim nature of the pattern it is not suggested to sew for boys above size 8...)

Little man has been bugging me for more thumb shirts since testing the awesome HTTYD one. And this works great for that thumb hole cuff! (Check out OUSM video tutorial here!)

Modifications:
Thumb hole cuff. This pattern does not call for a cuff. I have left the bottom un-hemmed.

Winter Wear Designs Phresh Blazer & EYMM Free Style Pants - Girl's Bundle Up Blog Tour

Welcome to my stop on the Girl's Bundle Up Tour! Such amazing patterns in the bundle!

I got to sew up the Phresh Blazer by Winter Wear Designs and the Free Style Pants by EYMM! Little girl loves them and so far will not let me take them off her! If I try to undo the button, uh-oh! Watch out!

I did not do any modifications to the patterns. I sewed them up as is written in the direction! :)

No embelishments either. When I pulled out the cheetah fabric I was thinking in my head "cheetah girls" But I love the simplicity of this combo!

I will admit I was terrified of sewing up the blazer. I felt it might be outside my sewing abilities. But not to fear, the Phresh Blazer directions are so easy to follow and made sewing it up a breeze! I thought it was going to take me a week, but it only took me a day! I cannot wait to sew up another one!

I love the detail of the topstitching.

The Free Style pants were simple and quick with directions to modify the fit for your preference. They look super comfy. I want a pair for me! Ha!

Otium Sweater by Sofilantjes: Blog Tour + Giveaway

Otium Sweater by Sofilantjes: Blog Tour + Giveaway: The Berry Bunch

Welcome to my stop on Sofilantjes' Otium Sweater Blog Tour! Aren't the sweaters/tops that everyone has sewn up super cute?

Otium Sweater by Sofilantjes: Blog Tour + Giveaway: The Berry Bunch

The Otium Sweater by Sofilantjes is so super cute! I saw the testing call and immediately wanted to sign up for the woman's top but was too busy and didn't have room in the budget for more yardage. Totally bummed. But then the sign up went out for a tour and I jumped at the chance! I mean, the sweater is awesome! Adorable for women and girls!

She is totally into bows right now and I had to go with the bow option. As long as it has a bow, it's perfect!

I was originally going to sew up a long sleeve one, but it has since been rather warm (like 75° warm). So i decided to go with the 3/4 sleeve for those still cool nights and possible rainy days. Hey, we have had a few in these last few days! I did not do the extra pocket on the front. Though, I could picture her carrying around one of her numerous "babies" (any stuffed animal at the time she is showing interest in it) or one of her brothers cars!

The pattern is super easy to sew. The bow, to be honest, scared me. The directions are simple and easy to follow. I love patterns that come with multiple options! This is one of them. 3 different sleeve lengths, the regular or low back neckline, the bow, and an option pocket for the front!

You can get the patterns bundled for women and for girls, or separately for girls, women. the girls pattern ranges up to 14y! Check out the other cute patterns in Sofilantjes' Etsy Shop!

There is a nifty giveaway too! You have the chance to win some pretty cool patterns from the above independent pattern designers! Enter using the Rafflecopter below.

Clothes for a Baby Shower: Locally Grown Baby Bodysuit & Bass Fishing Raglan

I had a series of baby showers over this last weekend which made it a super crazy busy weekend! I love giving handmade items. Putting love and effort into something for someone to use and love.

The Bodysuit:
I love this baby bodysuit outfit that I made for a friend's baby shower! Seriously, is it not the cutest thing ever?

Locally Grown Baby Bodysuit: Peek-A-Boo Pattern Shop Lullaby Bodysuit: The Berry Bunch

I used the Lullaby Bodysuit and Lap Tee pattern from Peek-A-Boo Pattern Shop (affiliate links).

I am discovering Google Drive even more and the image creator with it and used that to create the freezer paper stencil.

The cool thing with images is you can print them as pictures, make the size that you want to fit the item you are making. I printed this one on the 5x7.

I used white folk art multi-surface paint, but some people suggested to use bleach. Though I am not sure how well bleach will work with fabric and freezer paper stenciling. Doesn't matter, I love it!

How fun this! I am working on getting a few more in the works for other cities around the states. :)

The Raglan:

I used the Rival Raglan by GYCT Designs. (affiliate link) (one of my absolute favorite pattern designers!). Such a fun patterns and so easy! I love the fish! The details my hubby did were amazing!

Bass Fishing: GYCT Designs Rival Raglan: The Berry Bunch

This is freezer paper stenciled too! The hook, line and fly are not. The hubby did those by hand. I used folk art multi-surface paint for the green and the rest are fabric markers, but applied by a toothpick.

I think it works great with the camo sleeves!

Bass Fishing: GYCT Designs Rival Raglan: The Berry Bunch

Both were made from re-purposing some old shirts excepts the onesie binding and the sleeves on the ralglan. I'm pretty excited about how they turned out and I hope that the parents-to-be enjoy them!

Happy Sewing!
